What to Expect

At the initial visit, we’ll review your health history, symptoms and lifestyle, discuss an individualized treatment plan and answer any questions. This is followed by a full acupuncture treatment to address your main symptoms. At each follow-up session, we’ll briefly review your condition and modify the treatment as needed. Other adjunct services (cupping, moxibustion, etc.), are incorporated into a normal acupuncture visit when conditions warrant or you can schedule appointment for just those services. Herbs are recommended as needed.

Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile, disposable needles that are safe and gentle. It does not hurt, though sometimes you may feel a tiny pinch with insertion. After the first couple of needles, you’ll quickly relax and may even fall asleep.
